As one of the most recognisable brands in the world, Ford is pushing forward with full electrification of its model line-up. This will lead to a whole new raft of Ford car leasing deals on eco-friendly, environmentally-conscious models that firmly reside in the present.

The US manufacturer is launching no fewer than seven brand-new electric vehicles (EVs) by 2024. The plan is to introduce two new crossover SUVs, four fully-electric vans and an all-electric Ford Puma. For now, we’ve got a range of Ford personal leases and business contract hires to choose between that will more than whet your appetite.

Ford Mustang Mach-E lease

The Mustang Mach-E is based on one of the most iconic cars of all time, the irrepressible Ford Mustang. The American muscle car was first introduced in the 1960s, and thanks to a helping hand from Steve McQueen in the classic film Bullitt, is instantly recognised around the world.

It was a smart choice by Ford to make this the company’s first fully-electric vehicle. The Mustang Mach-E is larger than its predecessor in that it’s a compact crossover SUV, but the prestige attached to the name makes this a very marketable choice for anyone looking for a Ford electric car lease.

The Mach-E comes with either a 70kWh or 91kWh battery. The smaller of these offers an official WLTP range of up to 273 miles on a single charge. The larger power pack meanwhile can cover up to 379 miles, according to official figures.

Here at DriveElectric, we carry out tests to produce a more realistic ‘real world’ range. As such, we think the 70kWh Mach-E is capable of around 215 miles on a full battery, with the 91kWh version more like 270 miles.

These are still impressive numbers for what represents Ford’s full debut in the electric car market. The battery in the Mach-E can be boosted from zero to 80% in less than 45 minutes, which together with the good looks, high spec and dynamic drive, make this a great choice for a Ford EV lease.
