Renault has unveiled one of the worlds smallest and greenest commercial vehicles. A new verison of the Renault Twizy has arrive and its called the Twizy Cargo.
It has the design, the shape and style of the standard Twizy, it swaps the rear tandem seat behind the driver for a large boot with an opening and lockable door. What’s more, as a car-derived van, with fully recoverable VAT, it’s even £650 cheaper than the standard model, at £6,241. Plus, the VAT can also be reclaimed on its battery hire, from £36 per month (excluding VAT).
Designed for business use, the integrated 180-litre load area is capable of accepting loads weighing up to 75 kilos and has a door which opens out to 90 degrees.
The vehicle has a top speed of 56mph and is expected to have a range of around 50 miles (although in real world conditions the official test cycle suggests it will be more like 62 miles). To fully charge this electric vehicle it will take around 3 hours using a 3 pin plug charger.
There is another opportunity to save with Twizy Cargo, as it is also exempt from the London Congestion Charge. This means if you are a business in London or driving into the congestion zone, you could save hundreds of pounds over the year.
