Vehicles under 3 years old do not require an MOT.

We offer the option to include a maintenance package with all our lease vehicles. If you choose to include this, the cost of servicing, MOTs, and replacement tyres (excluding sidewall damage) is covered.

If you choose not to include maintenance, you are responsible for arranging and paying for the maintenance of your vehicle for the duration of your lease contract. Your electric vehicle can be serviced at any of the manufacturer’s approved garages. Most dealerships will try to provide a courtesy vehicle, however, given recent supply challenges, this may not always be possible. Should you require a courtesy vehicle, please discuss this with the dealership your vehicle is booked into.

If you don’t have a maintenance package, you can take your EV to any local tyre specialist. As part of your lease agreement, to avoid end-of-lease charges, you will need to replace the tyre with a like-for-like specification to ensure your vehicle is in the same condition as provided on delivery.  

The cost of windscreen and glass repairs/replacements is not covered by the maintenance packages provided by the funders. However, they will still be happy to assist in organizing the repair.

You may wish to contact your own insurance provider as some insurance policies cover may provide cover.

Leasing packages offer a maintenance option that can be tailored to suit your exact requirements, including the cost within your monthly price plan. If you choose to add this option, the following vehicle maintenance is covered;

  • breakdown cover,
  • annual servicing,
  • tyres (worn, not punctured, or side wall damage),
  • MOT

Damage (e.g. smashed lights, exterior damage etc) is not covered and will be recharged along with an admin fee. If you choose not to include the maintenance package, then you will need to fund this yourself.

If you’ve included a maintenance package in your EV lease, then you can visit any of the manufacturer’s approved UK-based dealerships for any servicing or maintenance.

You can arrange servicing and maintenance appointments through your funder. Please take a look at our Funder contact details page to find contact information and links to all the funders’ websites.

There may be a time when you might need the use of a replacement vehicle, especially when yours is in for a more detailed servicing. Your servicing provider/dealership may be able to offer a courtesy car as an optional ‘relief vehicle’ for you. Speak to your chosen servicing outlet directly.

Yes! Under the terms of your contract, you are required to keep the electric vehicle maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.

Failure to maintain your vehicle would invalidate the warranty, therefore if any problems arose because of not keeping the vehicle properly maintained, you would be liable for the repair costs.

The vehicle should be returned at the end of the lease with a stamped service history book.

As we deal with thousands of cars and vans at any one time, you can appreciate managing individual servicing times is simply an impossible task. However, all the information you need on when to service your lease vehicle is located in the instruction manual.

If you do not have a maintenance package included in your lease, you can book your vehicle’s MOT at any VAT-registered garage which uses genuine parts.
