Skywell BE11 gets UK debut at Everything Electric show in Harrogate

At the recent Everything Electric North show in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the new Skywell BE11 was given its UK debut.

The Chinese built electric car is being imported by Innovation Automotive, experts in bringing over electric vehicles from other markets. The Skywell BE11 is expected to start appearing on UK roads from September 2024 and comes in a choice a single trim but two battery pack sizes.

A mid-sized SUV, the Skywell BE11 is available with either a 72 kWh or 86 kWh battery pack, this means we're anticipating real world ranges of around the 210 miles and 270 miles mark. (WLTP figures given are 248 miles and 304 miles. respectfully) Power to the wheels is in the form of a single, front wheel-mounted electric motor, capable of delivering up to 150kW. Top speed is limited to 93 mph and a 0-62mph sprint will take you 9.6 seconds.

As the photos show, the BE11 has a modern aesthetic and while it is unlikely to win any design awards, it's not an ugly vehicle by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, the side profile shares some similarities with ICE-powered Volkswagen Group vehicles.

Inside the EV there's plenty of room for five, with plenty of kit packed in for good measure - including a 12.8-inch touchscreen, leather-style seating and even a 128-colour ambient lighting function.

Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connective comes as standard, as well as 3 x USB ports, a rear 3-pin socket and 8-speaker German engineered sound system.

The Skywell doesn't scrimp on sasfety either, with plenty of safety systems built-in such as Adaptive Cruise Control, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree parking camera, and blind spot detection, just some of the features.
