Audi updates Q4 E-Tron lineup with enhanced performance, increased power, and faster charging.

Audi has revamped the Q4 e-tron range ahead of the 2024 model year, with sportier tuning, increased efficiency, advanced models' driver-aid technologies, optimized powertrain, and improved charging.

The Audi Q4 e-tron has received a series of updates for the 2024 model year including a longer range from its 77 kWh (82 kWh gross) battery, now up to (WLTP) 339 miles. It can also charge more quickly and it has more power and performance.

The Q4 e-tron quattro models now have a maximum DC charging rate of 175 kW (up from 125 kW), allowing a 10% to 80% charge in around 28 minutes. The rear-wheel drive Q4 e-tron models have a maximum charge rate of 135 kW. A battery protection function automatically limits the charge level to 80 percent to extend battery life.

The Q4 e-tron features a route planner which prioritises rapid and ultra-rapid chargers and preconditions the battery to ensure the optimum temperature before arriving at a charger, in order to ensure the fastest possible charging, and it also cools the battery after charging.

A new electric motor - a ‘permanently excited synchronous machine’ (PSM) - on the rear axle, for rear-wheel drive and Quattro all-wheel drive models, delivers higher efficiency and greater power.

Audi has tuned the Q4 e-tron’s suspension and steering, giving specially adapted damper tuning and improved steering response for a more sporty driving experience.

Audi Q4 45 e-tron and Q4 55 e-tron variants are available.

The Audi Q4 45 e-tron and the Audi Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron with rear-wheel drive produce 286 PS and accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds; the more aerodynamic Sportback version is now capable of up to 339 miles on the WLTP cycle.

The Audi Q4 45 e-tron quattro and the Audi Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron with 286 PS take 6.6 seconds for 0-62mph. The top-of-the-range Q4 55 e-tron quattro and Q4 Sportback 55 e-tron quattro models with 340 PS accelerate from 0-62mph in only 5.4 seconds. The top speed for all models is now 112mph.

The updated Q4 e-tron line-up will be available to order from 26 September, with the full Q4 e-tron model line-up as follows:

The Audi Q4 e-tron has contributed to a 51.2% growth in Audi’s delivery of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in the first half of 2023.

From the end of the year, the Q4 e-tron model series will be produced at Audi’s Brussels site in addition to production in Zwickau, allowing the company to increase production capacity in response to the high demand for the model.

In the long term, Audi plans to convert all its sites to the production of electric models.
