The Renault Scenic is back and this time it’s electric
Renault unveils the all-electric Renault Scenic E-Tech, offering a range of up to (WLTP) 379 miles and a focus on sustainability, available for order from December 14th, 2023.
The Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric, with a range of up to (WLTP) 379 miles, is now available to order, priced from £40,995, with first deliveries expected from May 2024.
The Scenic E-Tech 100% electric features a 160kW (220hp) electric motor with 300Nm of torque and an 87kWh battery giving a range of up to 379 miles (WLTP). The battery is 6% more energy dense than that in the Megane E-Tech 100% electric, and a heat pump is standard in the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric, helping to recover heat and energy that would otherwise be wasted.
The Scenic E-Tech 100% electric has a maximum DC rapid charging rate of 150kW DC; Renault says that a 30-minute charge can provide two hours of driving range at motorway speeds. The car can also AC charge at up to 22kW.
A journey planner can decide where to stop to charge, and the details for the journey can be entered on your phone before you set off, with the itinerary sent to the car automatically. Even weather information helps to estimate the battery’s remaining range by taking information such as wind direction and speed into account.
The Scenic E-Tech is 100% electric and offers a Solarbay panoramic glass roof with the ability to change its opacity one segment at a time. This allows the driver and passengers to choose any of four roof settings: full light, fully opaque, light at the front but opaque at the back, and light at the back but opaque at the front.
As well as the ability to control their section of the glass roof, rear seat passengers have their own armrest with two swiveling arms, 3.6 liters of storage for smartphones and tablets, fold-out stands to watch screens, two cup holders and two USB-C ports.
The Scenic is known for offering practical amounts of space, and the five-seater electric model has a 545-liter boot, or 1,670 liters with the rear seats folded.
When you sit in the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric you’re greeted by a welcome sound sequence composed by Jean-Michel Jarre, who also developed an external sound for pedestrians.
There are four MULTI-SENSE modes:
Which are combined with 48 colors for the dashboard, back lighting and front and rear door strips.

Three Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric trim levels will be on offer: techno (£40,995), esprit Alpine (£43,495) and iconic (£45,495).
Standard specifications for all models include front and rear full LED lights, electric flush door handles, flush roof bars, shark fin antenna, electric folding door mirrors, logo puddle lights, automatic air conditioning, a frameless electro-chromatic rear-view mirror, rear-view camera, front and rear park assist, heated front seats and steering wheel, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, automatic wipers, multi-sense with ambient lighting, rear armrest and electric boot opening.
You need to go for the top-of-the-range iconic model if you want the Solarbay opacifying panoramic sunroof and 20-inch alloy wheels rather than 19-inch wheels (unusually, Renault isn’t quoting any difference in driving range between the 19-inch and 20-inch wheels).
