HiPhi announces the next generation hypercar – The HiPhi A
HiPhi unveiled its first collaborative product, the HiPhi A, during a global livestream event from its Shanghai headquarters. The limited series model, designed in partnership with WESAIL New Energy Automotive, is set to commence production in Q1 2025.
The HiPhi A electric hypercar has a power output of up to 1,305 PS, a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just over 2 seconds, and a top speed of almost (WLTP) 186 mph.

An 800V platform with an electric motor at the front and two motors at the rear helps the HiPhi A to achieve these extreme performance figures. The motors and the battery pack – which can discharge 1.5MW of power at its peak - are HiPhi's own in-house-developed units.

The HiPhi A features rear-wheel active steering, continuously variable damping, and torque vectoring control technology HVC (HiPhi Vectoring Control) which the company claims results in a 15% improvement in cornering and a 10% improvement in braking performance. The car will also have close to 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution in the quest for optimum balance.
Aircraft-grade titanium alloy is used in the car’s interior and exterior trim, in addition to high-performance aluminium alloys and nano-ceramics in the chassis. The battery pack features a bullet-proof carbon fibre bottom shield and a fireproof sprayed carbon fibre top cover.
Despite the hypercar performance levels, the HiPhi A has four doors and four seats – so it’s basically a family car.

The HiPhi A is a collaboration between HiPhi – providing design and development and the electric powertrain – and the hypercar expertise of WESAIL New Energy Automotive. HiPhi will also cooperate with the Intelligent Manufacturing System Center of ShanghaiTech University to undertake the process of closed-loop development, including material selection, structural design, printing process simulation and production process monitoring, using 3D printing technology.
The HiPhi A will have its physical debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on 17 November 2023 and is set to be produced in a limited series run, with production and delivery scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2025.
HiPhi is a new luxury electric technology brand created by Human Horizons – an innovative mobility technology company – and other partners through a co-creation approach.
