Volkswagen ID. EVERY1 concept, entry-level EV preview

The ID. EVERY1 is part of Volkswagen’s broader plan to introduce a range of electric vehicles tailored for urban mobility. Alongside the ID. 2all, which is expected to launch in 2026, these models will form the brand’s Electric Urban Car Family. Both vehicles are built on Volkswagen’s new modular electric drive (MEB) platform with front-wheel drive, optimising space, efficiency, and affordability.

With a length of 3,880 mm, the ID. EVERY1 sits between the former up! and the Polo, offering space for four passengers and a 305-litre boot. Powered by a 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor, it delivers a range of at least 250 kilometres and a top speed of 130 km/h—making it an ideal choice for urban commuting and daily driving.

Volkswagen has focused on ensuring the ID. EVERY1 is more than just an affordable electric car. The model features a versatile interior, smart digital features, and a new, powerful software architecture that allows for over-the-air updates and upgrades throughout its lifecycle. This flexibility ensures that customers can adapt their vehicles to their evolving needs, even after purchase.

Expanding Volkswagen’s electric vehicle lineup

The ID. EVERY1 forms part of Volkswagen’s wider strategy to expand its model range, offering a mix of efficient combustion engines, hybrids, and all-electric options. By 2027, the brand plans to introduce nine new models, four of which will be electric.

Thomas Schäfer, Volkswagen Brand CEO, emphasised the company’s commitment to accessible mobility: “The ID. EVERY1 represents the last piece of the puzzle on our way to the widest model selection in the volume segment. We will then offer every customer the right car with the right drive system – including affordable all-electric entry-level mobility.”

A future of affordable electric mobility

With the ID. EVERY1, Volkswagen aims to make electric driving accessible to more people, reinforcing its reputation for producing cars that combine practicality with innovation. As the automotive industry continues its shift towards electrification, Volkswagen’s latest announcement underscores its ambition to be a leader in sustainable, high-volume vehicle production.

While the ID. EVERY1 remains a concept for now, its introduction signals a promising step towards making electric cars a practical and affordable choice for drivers across Europe.
