Audi confirms Q4 e-tron launch specs

First up, the German carmaker has confirmed that both models will be available with a choice of two battery sizes; a 52kWh and a larger 77kWh powertrain. Both models also come available at launch with 4 specification variants; Sport, S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung.

Audi is promising bags of technology regardless of trim level selected, eight paint finishes, near audio partner Sonos speakers, and a top of the range Q5 50 e-tron quattro which packs a performance punch taking just 6.2 seconds to hit 62mph from a standing start.

“The imminent arrival of the Q4 Sportback e-tron into our showrooms is the next crucial step in our bold electrification plan,” commented Director of Audi UK Andrew Doyle.

“Both the SUV and Sportback variants bring striking Audi design, impressive packaging, and attractive price points to a new segment of the market. Rapid charging capability and over 300 emission-free miles on a single charge will help ensure our transition from ICE to electric power is a smooth one for our customers.”

The Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron also promises class-leading space, not usually seen in this size of SUV, with boot space hitting 520 litres and 535 litres respectfully.

When it comes to charging, Audi is promising a 5% to 80% charge in about 38 minutes when using a HPC station. With WLTP mileage figures for the larger battery models of up to 316 miles. We’re expecting the real world range to be between 200 – 240 miles on a full charge for the higher capacity models.
