Hyundai showcases V2L tech with electric acts of kindness campaign

Hyundai's latest campaign for its IONIQ 5 electric car sees the South Korean carmaker inviting social media followers to select an 'act of kindness'.

Showcasing the IONIQ 5's V2L technology (V2L stands for Vehicle To Load), the campaign included Hyundai running a public poll where people could select one of three acts to feature in a special showcase of the technology and the performer.

UK Managing Director at Hyundai, Ashley Andrew said: "By using V2L technology with Electric Acts of Kindness we can highlight the breadth of adaptability IONIQ 5 brings to powering lives."

You can watch the resulting video below.

In the films, a Hyundai IONIQ 5 arrives on the scene and using its V2L technology is able to power a variety of performance equipment, including speakers, amps, a confetti machine and an electric guitar. During the 5-hour period of the video shoot, the vehicle used just 10% of its available charge.

The V2L function on the IONIQ 5 can supply up to 3.6 kW of power, with a port located under the second-row seats, and a second via a converter on the external charging port.
