BYD ATTO 2: UK pricing confirmed for BYD’s compact electric SUV
BYD has confirmed pricing and specification for its latest all-electric SUV, the BYD ATTO 2. A compact model designed to bring BYD’s tech-packed EVs to more drivers in the UK.
Available in two trim levels, Boost, and Comfort, the ATTO 2 starts from £30,850 on-the-road for the entry-level Boost, while the higher-spec Comfort comes in at £34,950 OTR. Customer deliveries for the Boost version are expected to begin in September 2025, with Comfort following later next year.
Despite being BYD’s smallest SUV to date, the ATTO 2 hasn’t scrimped on equipment. Both versions feature a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, an eight-speaker audio system, ‘Hi BYD’ intelligent voice control, and even vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, handy if you fancy running a coffee machine or charging tools directly from the car.
Power comes from BYD’s Blade Battery, which is known for its safety and durability, and is making its compact car debut here with Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology. This clever design integrates the battery into the chassis for improved strength and interior space.
The Boost model uses a 51.1kWh battery, giving up to 214 miles of WLTP range (or up to 302 miles in city driving). It’s paired with an 82kW DC fast charger, capable of topping up from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
Step up to the Comfort trim, and you get a larger 64.8kWh battery with up to 261 miles of WLTP range. It also charges faster, thanks to a 155kW DC charger, which can get you from 30% to 80% in as little as 21 minutes.
Both models are front-wheel drive, with power outputs of 130kW (Boost) and 150kW (Comfort), good for 0-62mph in around 7.9 seconds. Inside, there’s space for five people, a 400-litre boot (expanding to 1,340 litres with seats down), and standard-fit heat pump for greater efficiency in cooler weather.
BYD is also offering five years of free maintenance with the ATTO 2, adding an extra layer of reassurance for new EV drivers.
