About the Genesis GV60

The first all-electric model from the luxury South Korean brand, Genesis. The GV60 is a distinctive looking mid-sized SUV and shares the same underpinnings as the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6.

Sure to find its niche here in the UK, the Genesis is likely to rival the likes of Lexus and Volvo with people wanting a premium alternative to the German big three.

Genesis GV60 Battery and charging

Regardless of which GV60 you're looking at all come powered by the same 77.4kWh battery pack, however that doesn't tell the whole story. The RWD GV60 comes with a single motor with a maximum output of 160kW, the AWD model adds a second motor to the front wheels with a 74kW punch, while the range-topping Performance model features an upgraded front wheel motor of 160kW, giving it a combined power output of 320kW and a max. torque of 605Nm.

Like its close siblings over at Kia and Hyundai, the Genesis GV60 features an advanced ability to accept fastcharge power, making it capable of benefiting from the power an ultra-rapid charger can provide. Given the right conditions this means that it can take just 16 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.
