Ford E-Transit L3 electric van lease
Ford entering the pure electric van market was always going to be a game changer for electric vans and the E-Transit does not disappoint. The level of technology that has gone into the E-Transit confirms that the Blue Oval is taking electrification very seriously. They might not have been the first manufacturer to market but by launching the E-Transit and E-Transit Connect, it is a clear signal of a future away from diesel-power.
Charging the Ford E-Transit Van
Powering the E-Transit is a 68kWh battery pack and as is usually the case, the vehicle can be charged from AC or DC power outlets. For beginners this means that AC tends to be used at home, in the workplace or at a destination and usually means a relatively slow charge. Perfect for when the vehicle is not in use. DC charging, known as rapid or ultra-rapid charging, is saved for the public networks, found at service stations and an increasing number of petrol forecourts.
These chargers are more expensive but can rapidly charge the vehicle. Perfect for when a bit of capacity is needed. With a 115kW rapid charger, the E-Transit can see its battery recharged from 10-80% in just 34 minutes.
