Farizon SV electric vans impress with efficiency in 1,000 mile rally
The Farizon SV might be a new face on UK roads, but it’s already proving its worth in some very tough conditions. Three demonstrator models of the all-electric van took part in the 2025 GREENFLEET Explorer EV Rally, covering an average of 1,043 miles each on a route that stretched from Newquay in Cornwall to Knutsford in Cheshire – and the efficiency figures speak for themselves.

Across five days of mixed driving (motorways, coastal roads, cities, villages, even the Peak District), two of the vans actually beat their official WLTP efficiency figures – something we don’t often see in the real world. The largest model, the L3H3 with a hefty 106kWh battery, managed 2.402 miles per kWh, nearly 10% better than its rated figure. Even the smaller variants kept impressively close to their official stats despite being fully loaded with passengers, luggage, racking systems, event kit, and in one case, even powering a fridge via the van’s 3.3kW vehicle-to-load socket.
That’s no small achievement when you consider the conditions: long days on the road, adverse weather, and plenty of weight on board. The independent telematics data gathered during the rally shows the SV’s lightweight design, slippery aerodynamics (just Cd 0.29), and clever battery tech all add up to meaningful gains in efficiency, not just on paper, but on real UK roads.
Calum James, General Manager of Farizon UK, summed it up neatly: “People are used to taking the official range and efficiency stats with a pinch of salt. I’m very proud that the data demonstrates just how efficient the Farizon SV is in the real world, with realistic loads in the back and multiple drivers throughout the event.”
The SV has been built from the ground up as an electric van, and that shows. By keeping kerb weight low with lightweight materials, using energy-dense batteries with cell-to-pack packaging, and designing wheels and bodywork for efficiency, Farizon has ended up with the lightest van in its class – 38.5kg lighter than the nearest rival. The result? A WLTP combined range of up to 247 miles (or 342 miles in city driving), plus strong performance thanks to 170kW of power and 336Nm of torque.
It’s still early days for Farizon in the UK, but this rally performance is a strong sign of what’s to come. For businesses looking to cut costs, reduce downtime, and get serious about electrifying their fleets, vans like the SV show that the numbers are adding up in the real world.
