Orders open for the Kia EV4 – Kia’s longest range EV to date

Available to lease through DriveElectric soon, the Kia EV4 starts at £34,695 and brings Kia’s proven EV technology to one of the UK’s most in-demand car segments.

Familiar line-up, new EV platform

The EV4 follows the same three-grade model strategy seen on Kia’s other EVs, Air, GT-Line, and GT-Line S. Each trim offers a well-equipped package, with the GT-Line expected to be the best-seller thanks to its sporty styling and high specification.

The EV4 shares the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with other Kia EVs but is tailored for the hatchback segment, with a low profile and strong focus on aerodynamic efficiency. The sleek design helps achieve a drag coefficient of just 0.27Cd, contributing to its impressive range figures.

Kia’s longest range EV yet

The EV4 is available with two battery sizes: a 58.3kWh version offering up to 273 miles (WLTP), and a larger 81.4kWh battery delivering up to 388 miles (WLTP), the longest official range of any Kia EV so far.

The more premium ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ trims come exclusively with the long-range battery, offering up to 362 miles (WLTP) between charges.

All versions of the EV4 are front-wheel drive, powered by a 150kW (201bhp) motor capable of 0–62mph in just 7.5 seconds, and a top speed of 105mph.

Fast charging

Thanks to 400V charging architecture, the EV4 can be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 29 minutes using a 350kW ultra-rapid charger. On an 11kW AC charger, a full recharge takes 5 hours 20 minutes for standard range models, or 7 hours 15 minutes for long range.

Practicality and space

With a boot capacity of 435 litres, the EV4 offers one of the most spacious load areas in its class. The compact exterior (4,430mm long) is matched to a generous 2,820mm wheelbase, allowing for excellent interior space.

Tech-packed interior with AI Assistant

Every EV4 features a triple screen dashboard layout with twin 12.3-inch displays and a 5.3-inch climate touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are included as standard, along with Kia Connect with seven years of free services.

The EV4 also introduces Kia’s new AI Assistant, powered by ChatGPT. Activated by voice, the assistant can help with navigation, vehicle controls, travel suggestions, and even offer entertainment and trivia while parked or charging.

Top-spec GT-Line S models add premium relaxation seats that recline almost flat, ideal for breaks or while charging. They also introduce new ‘Rest mode’ and ‘Theatre mode’, creating an entertainment lounge experience with apps like Netflix and YouTube built in.
