About the Mercedes EQC
The Mercedes Benz EQC is a luxury e-SUV with 500 litres of boot space, and exceptional build quality. It’s also 100% electric, available to lease now and joins a growing lineup of luxury electric SUVs from various manufacturers, where not too long ago the Tesla Model X would have been the only option in this class.
This is an energy-efficient car for its size, with five different regeneration settings to tailor your driving experience to your needs. The ‘Maximum Range’ mode is best if you’re looking to squeeze the maximum range and efficiency from your battery, and includes a feature which restricts your speed according to the speed limit on the road you’re driving on.
The excellent performance of the regeneration technology filters down from the all-conquering Mercedes Formula 1 team, as well as the new Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E team. The EQC is based primarily on the Mercedes GLC though, which means the bones of this car are from a very popular premium SUV. The car’s 80 kWh battery has an official WLTP rating of 259 miles range, though in ‘real world’ driving conditions we believe this will translate into 230 miles of range per charge.
Recharge this electric car at home on a 7 kW home wallbox charger from flat to full in 12 hours and 45 minutes. When out and about the EQC can be rapid charged (50 kW) from 10-80% battery in 75 minutes. On even faster rapid chargers (i.e IONITY) which charge at speeds of up to 350 kW you can recharge the EQC in 35 minutes (from 10 – 80% charge).
