We have helped numerous businesses adopt EVs within their fleet by providing EV trials through our EV FlexiHire service to test and monitor suitability in a practical application. Taking a trial of electric vehicles allows you to ‘try before you buy’, giving you the peace of mind that a longer-term investment in this technology will be a success for your business.
Our electric vehicle FlexiHire rental services are for business users only.
However, if you are looking to lease an electric car or van for 2 or more years on a personal contract then do take a look at our personal leasing offers to see the range of EVs we have available.

We do not provide insurance services generally, however for FlexiHire vehicles we are able to provide insurance.
If opting to ensure a FlexiHire vehicle yourself then the vehicle must be covered by your own fully comprehensive insurance policy. We will need to see evidence of this prior to delivery of the lease/rental vehicle. Please speak to your insurance provider for a quote as prices may vary.
Our EV rental services are for business users only and the driver of the vehicle must be at least 23 years old, with at least 2 years driving experience.
All of our rental vehicles can be charged with a regular 3-pin plug. The most conventional way of charging is via the supplied cable which plugs directly into a regular domestic supply. This allows you to charge anywhere there is access to a standard wall socket. The use of a dedicated circuit for your chosen socket is recommended.
You can charge the vehicle from a regular 3-pin plug socket so ideally it should be plugged in wherever it is left stationery for a long period (generally overnight).
Out and about, the UK’s infrastructure now boasts more than 10,000 charging points. There are currently more than 200 Rapid Chargers located at most of the UK’s motorway service stations, IKEA stores and Nissan dealers.
Because many public charging stations use high-voltage DC power, charging the vehicle at one of these stations is very fast – about the same amount of time as enjoying a cup of coffee – and sometimes free, so they offer a convenient way to go further in a day. Visit www.zap-map.com to find the nearest public charging points, or to plan longer journeys.
It can take up to 12-15 hours to fully charge the vehicle’s battery from flat so plugging it in overnight is ideal. The charging time will vary depending on how large the car or van’s battery is and what kind of charger it is plugged into. Please speak to our knowledgable team for more information – charging is not as complex as it might first seem.
Rapid-chargers, found at public charging points (such as motorway services), will charge the vehicle to 70% capacity in just 30 mins. Charges may apply for this service – please speak to our advisers for further information. The Rapid Charge Port is often located just left of the standard charging port on an electric vehicle.

You will be responsible for any costs of parking fines or others penalties incurred whilst you rent the vehicle. We reserve the right to make reasonable charges for our time incurred and the administration costs involved in processing any fines and/or penalties.
No, all of our rental vehicles have been registered for the London Congestion Charge discount so you don’t need to do anything, you can travel in and out of London for free!
