CUPRA Raval: order books are open in the UK, here's everything you need to know

Cupra Raval UK launch image

Its electric story so far has been a strong one. The Born brought CUPRA's driver-focused character to a pure EV for the first time, while the Tavascan (an all-electric SUV coupe) showed the brand could go bigger and bolder without losing what makes it special. Now there's a third chapter: the Raval, CUPRA's fully electric urban car. And as of today, you can order one.

What is the Cupra Raval?

The Raval is a fully electric city car built on Volkswagen Group's advanced MEB+ platform. It's designed for urban driving; compact, striking, and unmistakably Cupra in character. Bold looks, sporty handling, and a refusal to blend in. Available in four trim levels (Origin, V1, V2 and VZ), it comes with either a 37kWh or 52kWh battery depending on spec.

Prices and trims

The 52kWh models qualify for the UK Government Electric Car Grant, which takes £1,500 off the price. The 37kWh variants are still awaiting approval for the grant.

All figures UK-market WLTP confirmed. Born V1 price shown after £1,500 government Electric Car Grant, for which it qualifies. Tavascan V1 does not qualify for the grant.

What's striking is how close the Born and Tavascan are on range despite a £13,000+ price gap; just three miles between them on the WLTP cycle. The choice really comes down to what kind of car you want rather than how far it'll go. The Born is sharper, lighter and better value on a monthly lease. The Tavascan gives you the elevated driving position, larger boot, bigger screen and the SUV coupé styling.

The Raval slots in below both: smaller, more urban-focused, and with the most accessible price point in CUPRA's electric range. It's designed to bring a new audience into the brand.
