Recharging the 70kWh battery is incredibly easy. Simply plug into a standard 7kW wall-box charger, and it’ll charge from flat to full in around 10 hours. Most people take advantage of cheaper electricity rates and charge overnight. Find a 100kW rapid charger out on the open road, and topping up from 10% to 80% takes around 30 minutes.

Opting for the larger 91kWh battery option grants the Mach-E an official WLTP range of 379 miles. Our testing concluded a more realistic 270 miles of ‘real world’ range from a single charge, which is still a very impressive distance.

As you’d expect, charging the 91kWh battery takes a bit longer than its smaller counterpart. A zero to 100% charge via a standard 7kW wall-box takes around 13 hours. However, thanks to clever tech, using a 150kW rapid charger gets the Mustang from empty up to an 80% charge in under 45 minutes, which translates to around 250 miles of range.
