Fleetdrive win 'best green leasing broker'

Judged by an independent panel of eight experts from the leasing industry, the Leasing Broker Federation awards – formerly the Small Fleet Leasing Federation Awards – are presented by the Leasing Broker Federation, an independent membership organisation that supports and promotes leasing brokers across the UK.

This sees a record 4th consecutive win for Fleetdrive of the Best Green Leasing Broker Award (previously named the Best Small Fleet Green Leasing Company award), as they continue to stand out at the forefront of the delivery of plugged-in vehicles and expertise.

The market for greener leasing is still in its emergence, and the judges were impressed by Fleetdrive’s commitment to the sector as well as the savings which are already being achieved. Every year, Fleetdrive’s fleet of ultra-low emission vehicles are contributing to a carbon-saving of 1132 tonnes a year and generating cost-savings for their clients across fuel, Congestion Charge and taxation.

Fleetdrive have developed industry leading awareness, staff training and EV trial programmes to further support the UK’s adoption of plugged-in vehicles and demonstrate that Electric Vehicles provide practical solutions for SMEs that reduce your carbon footprint and your fleet costs too.

“Fleetdrive has once again demonstrated their outstanding green credentials, with a real understanding of this market which has seen the company be instrumental in promoting the take-up of electric vehicles. But Fleetdrive’s depth of commitment goes beyond that to supporting exciting and pioneering green projects.”

Leasing brokers are have a growing influence in the vehicle finance sector, with 2016 seeing impressive market growth.

Latest data, provided by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, shows that leasing brokers’ combined car and van volumes grew by 11% since the end of 2015 with much of this growth driven by personal contract hire, which has seen its share of leasing broker business rise to 43% at the midway point of the year, up from 39% at the end of 2015.

Adam Kemp, Sales Director of Fleetdrive, said: “We are delighted to have won Best Green Leasing Broker for the 4th year running. Our commitment since 2011 has been to provide clients with practical and affordable electric vehicle solutions. To be recognised for our year on year growth and knowledge in this sector is extremely satisfying and a welcome reflection of our team’s endeavours and expertise.”

The awards were presented by Lee Pennells, the newly appointed tactical leasing manager of award sponsors BMW/MINI, and Hyundai national contract hire & leasing manager Gareth Thomas.
