Our MD Mike went to visit the Vauxhall Corsa-e this morning, his brief review of the upcoming electric vehicle was… “Very pretty car, 50kWh battery with good regen”.
This new EV comes in two specifications (SE Nav & Elite) and a ‘real world range’ of around 180 miles and theres good news … we are now able to offer leasing on the Corsa-e!
Volvo has launched its first fully-electric model

Volvo launches its first fully-electric model, the XC40 Recharge SUV. Visually similar to the conventionally and plug-in hybrid powered XC40 models, the difference being (like in many new electric cars) is the smooth front grille. The new pure-electric Volvo will come with a 78 kWh battery and an official range of 249 mile to a charge. Prices still yet to be confimed on the new electric Volvo, but with production due to start next year it shouldn’t be long before it is announced.

Earlier this week Mel Creedy from the DriveElectric team spoke to ITV reporter Chris Choi in Nottingham about plans to give electric cars green number plates. Department for Transport [DfT] has launched a consultation on their plans with the aim to raise awareness on clean vehicles and find ways to highlight electric vehicles.

Fully electric vehicle registrations increased by 377% from July to August. This is still just a fraction of the market, however, as you can see from the graph it’s a huge percentage increase for BEV registrations. The Tesla Model 3 is responsible for a large portion of this as it became the 3rd most popular vehicle sold in the UK this August.
