Volkswagen reveal the ID.3

Volkswagen finally takes the camouflage off the new electric car ID.3 at the Frankfurt Motorshow. This is the first model released of the ID series which is based on the company’s new MEB platform. Volkswagen say it is the start of a new chapter for the company.

Fully electric vehicle registrations increased by 377% from July to August. This is still just a fraction of the market, however, as you can see from the graph it’s a huge percentage increase for BEV registrations. The Tesla Model 3 is responsible for a large portion of this as it became the 3rd most popular vehicle sold in the UK this August.
World Car Free Day

World Car Free Day, which is celebrated on September 22, encourages motorists to give up their cars for a day. This year was London’s biggest ever Car Free Day with the aim to draw awareness on toxic air and help tackle climate change. Different cities around the world organised events to raise awareness of air pollution across the world.
A third less polluting vehicles in London’s ULEZ

Since London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone was introduced in April 2019, there has been a substantial reduction in the amount of polluting, non compliant vehicles in the zone, according to City Hall’s report into the initial findings of the scheme.
