About this vehicle
The Hyundai Kona Electric is available to lease. This 5 Door SUV electric car has a 64kWh battery, offering up to 279 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, with an 80% rapid recharge function in 75 mins. In ‘real world’ driving we feel this car will do 251 miles per charge.
Hyundai’s Kona was such an anticipated electric car as it was the first affordable EV to offer around 250 miles of range, previously this was exclusively Tesla Model S and X territory. Kia’s E-Niro and the Tesla Model 3 have since joined the ranks of the 250 mile range club.
The Premium SE Kona model has leather seat facings, a step up from the Premium model’s cloth interior. SE also has heated steering wheel and the front seats are heated and ventilated with leather trim. This version of the Kona comes well specified with all the conveniences you would expect, technology includes Lane Keeping Assist, a a head-up display for navigation and speed.
The Kona charging options are Type 2 and CCS (for rapid charging), which are emerging as the European standard charging options. For more information on charging take a look at our guide to charging an electric car.
