The Volkswagen ID.3 is the first electric vehicle from the ID line up and is now available to lease. The ID family is the new all electric range based on the carmaker’s new MEB platform. VW designed the ID with similar dimensions to a Golf but with the interior space of a VW Passat. The ID.3 is one of a kind and combines quality, range and affordability making this a great vehicle choice. This electric car is also the first Volkswagen to be produced carbon-neutral.
The VW ID.3 also comes in other battery size options, you can choose between 48 kWh, 62 kWh or 82 kWh. With ‘real world’ range figures from 175 miles to 280 miles.
This ID.3 Style Pro Performance has the mid-range 62 kWh battery and an official WLTP range of 261 miles. DriveElectric advise a ‘real world’ range of around 205 miles to a charge. This is of course dependent on your personal driving style. The 62 kWh battery will give you around an extra 40 miles of range compared to the smaller battery 48 kWh option, useful if your daily commute is that little bit longer.
This ID.3 Style Pro Performance model is the perfect all-rounder for emission-free everyday driving. It comes well equipped with all the features you need for a smooth and comfortable ride including heated seats, VW infotainment system and driving aids to ensure your drive is as smooth as possible. This EV has 3 drive modes designed to help tailor your driving experience to your driving style; Eco mode will give you the opportunity to lengthen your vehicle range, and there’s a Sport mode too for when you’re feeling nippy, or stick in the middle in comfort mode for the best of both worlds! ID.3 also features rear-wheel drive and plenty of instant torque (typical of all electric vehicles) to give you instant response to acceleration.
The Style Pro Performance model comes with some additional extras such as a panoramic glass sunroof which gives the car a more spacious feel, Matrix LED headlights with automatic headlight control, poor weather light and entry lighting, Keyless entry and starting, as well as 18” Aero Steel Wheels.
Still hungry for features? Good News! The ID.3 also has ‘ID.Light’ – which is a new journey assist feature, designed to help you navigate through traffic. ID.Light communicates with you visually and will respond with light when reacting to your voice control commands.
Charging up the ID.3 is simple, when your charging at home plugging into a standard 7 kWh wall box charger it will take around 9 hours 30 minutes to gain a full charge. You can top up in a hurry by using a public charger gaining 80% charge in as little as 35 minutes (using a 100 kW rapid charger).
