Kia is Korea’s oldest manufacturer of motor vehicles and is part of the global Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group. Kia has an excellent line-up of electric and plug-in hybrid cars, however, we firmly believe 100% electric cars are the future, so you won’t find any plug-in hybrids here. Kia also seems to share our view that electric vehicles are the future after outlining a plan to create a line-up of 11 fully electric vehicles by 2025. They are also going one step further by creating a model capable of over 311 miles on a single charge, which is due on sale by the end of 2021. Although not all these models are available to lease through DriveElectric at the moment, we do have numerous Kia lease deals including Kia’s e-Niro which was the 2019 What Car? Car of the Year and was the first electric car to win this award. Along with the celebrated Kia e-Niro, we also stock other electric Kia lease deals including the Kia Soul, their electric hatchback model which has a quick charge time and a decent range. 2020s best electric cars | Most practical – Kia Soul EV
We picked some of our favourite EVs from 2020 and the Kia Soul EV was our top choice for “most practical” electric car. The Soul EV has been a firm favourite in the DriveElectric team for years and on a normal working day there are a fair few of them parked up outside our office. Sure, it’s a little quirky, some describe it as a “marmite” car but it was restyled and relaunched for 2020 and definitely appears more bold and funky than Kia’s previous iteration. Kia also enhanced the battery capacity to 64 kWh. This increased the real world range to around 220 miles per charge. This EV is brimming with excellent features and handy touches…
New to electric vehicles? No worries. We’re not! We started our electric journey in 2008 when we funded the UK’s first Tesla Roadster, and we’ve never looked back. We’ve out together some guides on cars, charging, congestion charging and some helpful pieces for fleets too in our guides hub. So if you would like to know more about EVs it’s a good starting place to dip your toe… or dive right in!
