Charging and range
The Hyundai Kona Electric comes available in 2 battery size options a smaller 39kWh and a larger 64kWh battery. This model is fitted with the 64kWh battery which allows the car to achieve an excellent official range of 301 miles WLTP. The actual range can depend on many factors, so at DriveElectric we recommend a real-world range of around 245 miles for this EV. This means this model of the Kona Electric is capable of achieving even longer journeys without the need to charge. However, when you do need to charge, it is easily done! When charging at home on a standard 7kWh wall box charger you can expect it to recharge from flat to full in around 10 hours, if you need to top your range up in a hurry the car can be topped up to 80% using a public rapid charger in less than 1 hour.
