This electric SUV is the second electric car from Peugeot following on from their e-208 hatchback. The e-2008 is a modern, all electric SUV, perfect for families and people who need a car with that bit of extra space.
This “GT” model is the top of the range e-2008 spec. and as well as its Cielo panoramic glass roof this electric car contains the latest technology from Peugeot including; i-Cockpit, intelligent driving aids, front and rear parking sensors, a 10″ HD colour touchscreen system, and heads-up display.
The GT model is also fitted with a panoramic glass sunroof, bigger 18″ ‘Storm’ Diamond cut alloy wheels and an upgraded GT specific interior giving this e-2008 a sportier look.
This electric car has a 50kWh battery (bigger than a Nissan LEAF’s 40kWh battery), and although an official WLTP driving range of 193 miles per charge is suggested for this vehicle, we think a ‘real-world’ driving range of around 170 miles per full charge as a more accurate figure (though this will depend on your personal driving style and the seasons of course!).

e-2008 uses type 2 and CCS charging connections (these are the standard charging connections for European electric cars), and is capable of charge speeds of up 100kW, this is useful at the super-fast rapid chargers which started to appear around the UK in 2019.
When charging on-the-go using a 50kWh (much more readily available) rapid charger the e-2008 can be topped up from 10% to 80% charge in a speedy 30 minutes. When you’re home from a long day of adventuring, working, or shuttling the family around simply plug-in to your home wall box charger (7kW), and you can expect a full charge from flat to take c. 7 hours 30 minutes. So even if you arrive home without much range left your e-2008 will be charged up and ready to go again by the time you wake up!
Electric vehicles are easy to charge, cheap to run and better for the environment.
If every car on the road was an electric car, we'd all benefit from cleaner air in our lungs.
