On June 22, Tesla is set to launch the Model S sedan. Investors, car enthusiasts, and car industry veterans alike are wondering whether of Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk can deliver on his ambitious plans to transform the electric vehicle market. In Isaac’s opinion, the launch will have huge implications in the car industry overall. Today, consumers are gravitating to more fuel efficient vehicles to avoid high gas prices, they’re choosing to drive shorter distances on a daily basis, and they’re interested in products pushing the envelope in technological innovation. Tesla seems poised to deliver on all of these accounts — could now be the time to buy shares?
Tesla are set not just to be a niche player with their technology being employed by both Toyota (remember them they invented the Prius!!). and Mercedes ( who would usually never use tech developed elsewhere – that’s why you don’t have quickclear screens on any Mercedes – FORD invented them and hold the patents!!. These partnerships tell me that they are on to something and as commented before the Model S is a truly great looking car as well. The next year will be very telling with a massive investment finally ( hopefully?) starting to pay off for the California based manufacturer.
