About This Vehicle
The Outlander ‘Verve’ variant is the entry level trim package of this popular plug-in hybrid SUV. The verve is available to lease now and is packed with helpful features. These include a , electronic parking brake, power tailgate, EV priority mode (so you can choose when you want to be fully electric), and a heated seats wheel to keep you comfortable in the winter.
The Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is the world’s first plug-in hybrid SUV and hugely popular in the UK. The Outlander’s PHEV powertrain and chassis has been revised for 2019. New dampers and rear suspension bushes provide a quieter and more refined to drive. Rapid charging has also been improved, reducing its charging time to 80% from 30 minutes to approximately 25 minutes.
The Mitsubishi Outlander’s pure electric range has also increased slightly. This PHEV has an official WLTP electric range rating of 28 miles, designed to make shorter journeys (including the average UK commute) much cheaper as little or no petrol will be required.
The Outlander PHEV’s twin electric motors and a highly efficient 2.4 litre petrol engine provide a combined range of 542 miles. This vehicle also has a smartphone app (available from the App Store and Google Play) that you can use to remotely control the climate control, view the current charge level, view the time left to charge and set when your car will charge itself.
The Outlander PHEV is not a fully electric vehicle, it’s a ‘Plug-in hybrid’, so it has a battery and a petrol engine. Read our PHEV disclaimer to find out if a plug-in hybrid is right for you.
